Alert Configuration
Alerts notify staff when attention is required. Configuration controls what triggers alerts and how they escalate.
Alert Types

Escalation Configuration
Alerts escalate through levels until acknowledged. Configure escalation at the unit level.
Escalation Levels

Customizing Escalation
- Navigate to Settings > Units > [Unit Name]
- Open Alert Settings
- Adjust delays for each level
- Configure recipient roles for each level
- Tap Save
Vital Sign Thresholds
Critical vital alerts trigger when values fall outside these ranges:

Vital thresholds cannot currently be customized per-facility. Contact Vigil support if your protocols require different thresholds.
Push Notifications
Staff receive push notifications for:
- Alerts at their escalation level
- Alerts for their assigned patients
- Delegated alerts
Notification settings can be managed per-device in the app settings.
Alert Priority
Alerts have priority levels affecting notification behavior:
