First Login
When you first access Vigil, you'll need to sign in with your facility credentials.
Signing In
- Open Vigil (mobile app or web)
- Enter your email address
- Enter your password
- Tap Sign In
If your facility uses single sign-on (SSO), you may see a "Sign in with SSO" option instead. Tap it and follow your organization's authentication flow.
First-Time Setup
Account Verification
If this is your first time signing in:
- Check your email for a verification message from Vigil
- Click the verification link to confirm your account
- Return to the app and sign in
Password Requirements
Passwords must meet these requirements:
- Minimum 8 characters
- At least one uppercase letter
- At least one lowercase letter
- At least one number
Roles and Access
Your access level depends on your assigned role:

| Charge Nurse | Above + dashboard, analytics, shift management, assignments |
| Unit Manager | Above + analytics, work order approval |
| Director | Above + facility-wide analytics |
| Admin | Above + settings (devices, integrations, jobs) |
| IT Admin | Above + system configuration |
| Facilities Maintenance | Work order management only |
Your role determines which screens and features you can access.
Troubleshooting
"Invalid credentials" error
- Verify you're using the correct email address
- Check for typos in your password
- Contact your facility administrator if you've forgotten your password
"Account not found" error
- Your account may not have been created yet
- Contact your facility administrator to verify your account exists
SSO not working
- Ensure you're connected to your facility network if required
- Contact your IT department for SSO configuration issues
